Abstract :
The rainwater management is more and more crucial in the area of urban planning. However, there are still unresolved scientific questions concerning the description and the homogeneous and unified representation of the different pathways of rainwater across urban areas. Such a description is necessary for rainwater management integrated approaches which object is to evaluate the impact of urban planning and global change (climatic and urban evolution) on hydrology.
In a first step, this study explores the possibilities of representing horizontal paths of water on the scale of a city which combines several types of hydrologic networks: urban rivers, stormwater networks, sewer networks and combined networks. To this end, geographic data are treated in mesh form and vector form. Representation at the scale of a whole city requires simplification, in order to reduce data pre-processing and calculation time. The impact of this simplification will be assessed using reference approaches more accurate.
In a second time, this work will be implemented to previous work on vertical transfers in order to form a complete urban hydrological model. This model will be calibrated and evaluated using real case studies.
